Prioritize Fall Fun

As soon as the sun disappears our minds switch to “ Its Time to go inside” and that shouldn’t be the case. Grab a warm drink, a light coat, take advantage of the fall temperatures and stay out of the house. Try to schedule a different fall activity weekly, whether it be going on a Hike or a festival make it count before the weather becomes unbearable.
Aromatherapy
Colder Weather + Covid Restrictions = More time at home. Our time spent in the house has increased immensely, making it the perfect time to change up your atmosphere. Aromatherapy is the perfect way to do this. Placing essential oils in a diffuser or small bags of plant extracts all around the house, not only gives your environment a different smell , but a different overall feel. Scents such as Lavender and Sandalwood have been known to enhance relaxation, while lemon and peppermint aid in digestion. Turn you home into a haven of happiness with new scents.

Vitamin D
As we move from fall to winter our time in the sun becomes increasingly limited. Less sun = Less Vitamin D causing our bodies to feel slower and more fatigued. Its crucial that we seek out other sources of vitamin D, such as supplements or diet changes. Just because we are all use to feeling lethargic in the colder seasons doesn’t mean we have to !During this time of year vitamin D is as essential as your mask.
Hydrate
Naturally we think to increase our water intake in the hotter months, however that narrative needs to change. Increasing your water intake in colder months is vital to keeping a healthy you. The colder it gets the more we crank up the heat and layer our clothing. These two habits can be the largest culprits leading to winter dehydration. A dehydrated body is a dull body. Dehydration weakens the immune system leaving your body susceptible to illnesses. So, while you sit on your couch cozied up with cocoa, make sure you have a glass of H20 close by.
